Current Event:

The Western versus Central football game will forever be one of the most spirited weekends of the year for CMU Chippewa. Despite the loss this Saturday, Central Michigan will finish the season with a 7-5 record.

Companies might use social media to promote an event, to give live updates, and to give a recap at the conclusion of an event. Specifically using a blog post (especially on twitter which has a character limit) can provide people with an easy-to-share link for others to access.
